I’ve been asked from number of close people and some of the website visitors about the reason for being away from releasing new productions, such as short animated films, especially after the success of the short animated film (Sida in 2006), the reason is when I started the implementation of the steps to get out of Saudi Arabia to live and work professionally; I had an offer at that time from the King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology KACST, on which we had an agreement by the end of 2008 to begin planning for a personal production establishment, so I worked since then for this purpose. And as of KACST signed an agreement with the Japanese company Index in order to training the talents on multi-media – it was another reason to divert my attention from the main plan for traveling.

What happened firstly, is that it appeared that Index doesn’t offer training in my field (Classical Animation), as well as other reasons I mentioned on an article earlier. And regarding the project, the planning is completed (key-requirements and procedures for the established). In addition, I’ve completed planning the first project which includes (stories writing, characters design, story-boards design, etc.), and that’s the main reason for not producing new artworks and short films lately.

During the coming period, God willing, several things will be clarified about the project, on which I’ll decide the future steps, whether starting the project or going back to the main plan … which is travel abroad.

سألني عدد من المقربين والبعض من زوار الموقع عن سبب إبتعادي عن إنتاج أعمال جديدة كأفلام كارتونية قصيرة، خصوصا بعد نجاح الفيلم (سدا عام ٢٠٠٦م)، والسبب هو أني عندما بدأت بتنفيذ خطوات الخروج من السعودية للحياة والتفرغ للإنتاج تلقيت عرضا من مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتقنية KACST والتي على أساسها تم توقيع إتفاقية نهاية عام ٢٠٠٨م لهدف بدء التخطيط لمنشأة إنتاج خاصة، وقد عملت شخصيا من ذلك الحين لهذا الهدف، كما أن توقيع مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز لإتفاقية مع الشركة اليابانية إندكس قبل عام للتدريب على تخصصات في الوسائط المتعددة كان سببا آخر لصرف النظر عن خطتي الرئيسية للسفر.

ماحصل أولا بالنسبة لشركة أندكس هو عدم وجود تخصصي الرئيسي (رسوم متحركة كلاسيكية 2D Animation)، بالإضافة لأسباب أخرى تطرقت لها في خبر سابق. وبالنسبة للمشروع الخاص فقد تم بحمد الله إنهاء المتطلبات الرئيسية كالخطة وإجراءات المنشأة، بالإضافة لخطة المشروع الأول والتي تشتمل على (كتابة القصص، تصميم الشخصيات، تصميم ستوري-بورد، وغيرها)، وهذا هو السبب الرئيسي لإبتعادي مؤخرا عن إنتاج أفلام قصيرة وأعمال فنية أخرى.

وخلال الفترة القريبة القادمة ستتضح بإذن الله عدة أمور بخصوص المشروع، والتي على أساسها سيتم تحديد الخطوات المستقبلية، سواء كان الإنطلاق في المشروع أو العودة للخطة الرئيسية… وهي السفر للخارج.
